I'm still alive!!!

Wow it's been a while! Things have been pretty crazy in the Rodee house! I'm actually writing this on my comfy red couch, back at home in Utah!! Yes I'm in Utah! Just for a couple of weeks. We just got back from a family reunion up in Canada, and while we were up there, Christian decided that his office in INdianapolis needed a change of scenery! So He packed up our whole apartment and his office and got everything ready to go, then flew up to canada for a few days with my family, flew back to Indianapolis, only to drive 17 hours to Albuquerque, New Mexico!!! Can you believe it? So instead of flying back to Indy to dirve with Christian, Eden and I decided to take a shorter drive home to Utah with Stef. We're staying here until Christian comes back up to go to Bear Lake with his family. We're going to be apart for 17 days!!!!! It's only been 4 days and it's already been really tough! So after Bear Lake Eden and I will head to et another destination this summer, New Mexico! Man is Eden a traveled baby! Lucky girl!
I'll try to catch up as much as I can...4th of July! I don't have any pictures on this computer I'm using so I"ll have to get those up another time, but we had a lot of fun! It was great because Christian had the day off!!! So we got to spend the WHOLE day with him. So we got up and hung out for a bit and then went to breakfast at Denny's with some friends. After Breakfast, Eden saw all these stuffed animals in one of those claw dropper things. She wanted one so bad so of course her Daddy had to get one for her! It only took him a couple of try's and he got one of the cutest animals in there! Eden didn't stop kissing it all day!! It was so cute! So then we went to walmart and got groceries for the BBQ. We got home and Eden took a nap. Then we headed over to the pool and started to grill! Of course the guys had to go and get the best steaks they could find! Unfortunately it wasn't that great of a day so we didn't get in the pool. For the fun part of the night, the guys all pooled together and spent a TON of money on some awesome fireworks, and we had our own show! I wasn't sure how Eden was going to do with all the loud cracks of the fireworks, and I don't think she was very sure in the beginning, but towards the end she was loving it! SHe even held a sparkler! It was so much fun!
So then the next day Eden and I headed out to Canada to spend the week with my family! It was so so nice being together with them. I got to meet my adorable niece, Cambria for the first time! I just love her so much. It was so fun to be with Mac and Melanie and see them as parents. It was just the best week. Eden got to meet a ton of cousins and relatives, and we just visited and played cards the whole week. Christian came on Thursday for the last couple days of the reunion and so he got to spend time with the in laws. We had so much fun. Eden loved it. She got to color, play with sidewalk chalk, swing...so many fun things! I don't have too many pictures on this computer yet, so I just put up some from our day trip to Waterton. We go up there every time we're in Canada. Eden loved seeing the big waterfalls and all the trees. It's like you're seeing everything for the first time when you see it through your child's eyes! After Cameron Falls we headed over to Red Rock Canyon so the boys could be boys and hike up the canyon. We thought this would be a little adventure, maybe an hour...oh no. 3 hours later, after we had notified the park rangers, they came out of the canyon. They just 'lost track of time'!! The wives were a little frustrated, but it all worked out ok! We also got to take some family pictures, which I will have on the computer, so I'll post those as soon as I can. The week ended great but sad. It's so hard to say goodbye to your family. Especially if you don't know when you'll see them again. I hate saying goodbye. And then after we said goodbye, we had an 8 hour road trip to sit and think about it. But Stef and I had fun visiting and singing and dancing in the car! Eden did great! She was really tired of being in the car after a while, but she did great!
So we've had a great july and we're just waiting till we get to see christian agaiN! But enjoying being in our house!! It's nice to finally see what is so great about Utah in the summer. Everyone says how great the summers are here and I've never had the chance to experience it. So now I get to! It's really nice. It's so pretty and the breeze is just perfect. It's nice being close to Christian's family. We got to watch So You Think You Can Dance with Brittney and Josh and Eden got to hang out with her aunt Brittney on Monday, while I went to a DR's appt. Which the baby is doing great by the way! You should go to her blog and see the AMAZINGLY cute pictures she took of Eden while they were hanging out. They played dress up...wow! Just go and look at them! And of course it's so fun being able to see Stef all the time! I just love living close to her. I miss her when we're gone!

Busy Baby!

First off I just want to say thanks to everybody who gave me great advice and made me feel like being a mother of 2 is going to be so fun!! Well despite the fact that our pool has been closed this ENTIRE week, we've managed to find some really fun things to do! Of course we had play class again this morning! It was so much fun! Eden just loves going and singing and clapping and finding all the new fun things to play on! She's getting so good at walking along things and standing herself up! It's so exciting to see her grow and figure things out!! We went to the park yesterday and Eden had a great time swinging with Daddy and going on the slide! Daddy even tried a new trick with her...he hung her from the monkey bars and she actually held on!!! It was pretty scary but she did it! She mist have learned from her boyfriend Dax, he's an old pro!!! And since the pool is closed, and it gets so hot here, we decided to go and get our pool! The kids weren't thrilled in the beginning but they ended up having a really fun time! Eden kept Jumping up so high and splashing down so the water got everywhere! She loved it! I had to get some time in there myself because I was SO hot!! We've been having a blast out here with everybody! I'm getting so excited because I leave for Canada on Saturday to see my family for a big Gallup family reunion! I am SO excited to see my family!

Halfway There!!!

Well I'm halfway there! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. As it gets closer and closer to meeting this new little girl, I get more excited but also a little more nervous! It's going to be so different being a mother of 2 children! I feel so blessed to be able to have 2 children, but I keep questioning my abilities as a mother! And I feel a little guilty because I'm so sad that it's not going to be just Eden and I anymore...is that terrible? I am SO happy that we're having another baby but I just hope I can be the same kind of mother I am to Eden, to 2 babies! I know it will all work out how it's supposed to but I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed! Is this normal? These feelings don't take away from the fact that I cannot wait to have two little girls! They are going to be best friends! I can't wait! Eden is going to be such a great big sister! I can't wait to see her in action!

Eden goes to Play Class!

So my good friend V decided that we needed to find more things to do with the babies out here, so she found this really cool program that offers all kinds of fun classes for kids all different ages! For Eden's age they have this fun play class where the kids get to learn to ride on things, throw things, balance, all kinds of neat things. They play with a parachute, blow bubbles, sing songs. It was so much fun! It was even more fun that Christian was able to come with us to do it! Eden had so much fun! There were quite a few other kids in the class so she got to interact with a bunch of other kids! I just think it's so fun to get her out doing things and not just stuck in the house with boring mommy's playing with the same toys all day! I'm so happy we found such a fun place to take the kids to! Here are some cute pics from the class this morning! I uploaded a whole album on facebook if you want to see more pics.

So I've been having trouble feeding Eden lately. I think it's mostly because she's been really sick, but today I tried to feed her some fruit that she really likes, and she would not let me put it in her mouth! So I got up and was going to take it to the fridge and she was reaching for it like she wanted it! So I tried to give her a bite and she would not take it from me! So finally I tried to just give her the spoon. She was SO excited! So I put the bowl in front of her and put the spoon in and helped her take a bite! She loved it! She ate almost half the bowl by herself! I couldn't believe it! She's never done that before! I was so surprised! She did so good! She's growing up so fast! I posted a video on Facebook because once again, I could not upload to blogger. I'm getting really tired of not being able to put videos on here! So if you wanna see the video click here. Here is my sick baby! Her temp has been so high and she just has been very lethargic! She sits with me and watches a movie! She's so cuddly! I kind of like it! She never cuddles with mommy so it's nice with I get a little love from her! She is feeling so much better though! Her temp was down ALL day today! And she was so happy! It's nice having my sweet little Eden back! I just love her!

Well I posted this picture on my blog already but I just had to do a page with it because it was so cute! Eden has always had a special thing for her Uncle Cam. She gets so excited every time she sees him! She just loves him!

Kansas City here we come...and go!

The Rodee Family had a family reunion in Kansas City, Mo this past weekend so Christian and I loaded up the car and went on a road trip! It was so much fun! It was a seven hour drive and Eden did great! She didn't want to sleep that much so one of us had to be in the back to play with her, but Christian didn't mind taking a break from driving to hang out with her! It's so nice when he gets time to do things with her! Well we hadn't seen Christian's family since we moved out to Indy so we were so excited. I was really hoping Eden would remember her Gramsy and Papa, since she'd been acting so clingy to me the past few weeks. She went right to them when we got there!! No hesitation! And she pretty much stayed with them all weekend! She just loves her gramsy and papa! And she LOVES her Uncle Cameron! She always has! Here's a picture Marg took of them, look how Eden is looking at Cam! Is that not the cutest thing you've ever seen! 

Friday night we just hung out with Christian's immediate family and a couple aunts and uncles and ordered Chili's to go. The activities started Sat. We all got up and had a GREAT complimentary breakfast and then met with the whole family to do family pictures! It was a little chaotic but it was so nice to get together with everyone. Eden was pretty tired from being up so late the night before! After pictures we went and had a luncheon and then Eden had to go down for a nap! So Christian stayed in the room with her and took a nap too. Brittney, Morgan, Gracie and I went and did a little photo shoot with Gracie! She is SO cute! When she cooperated she was on fire!! She did this Pretty Princess pose and it was probably the cutest thing! After pictures they showed a video they took of Bob, Christian's Grandpa, and his brother just talking about their parents and growing up! It was so cool! Watching it, I felt like I was really proud to be part of such a neat family! I wish Christian could have seen it!
When Eden woke up she was a little warm but I didn't think anything of it. We decided it was Eden's turn to do a little photo shoot! She was not being very happy at all, but we managed to get a few good pics! Which I guess is all you need! She was not giving us very good smiles at all! Here are some pics we got!

We even got a really cute one of Eden and Gracie! Look how sweet they are! Eden is sharing her flower! It's so cute!!!After the pictures everyone just kind of visited and then we decided to go to Cheesecake factory! Yum!! Eden was starting to feel very warm by this point and I realized, she was not feeling well! Christian and I had to cut our dinner short and go get eden some medicine and a thermometer. By the time we got back to the hotel, Eden's temp was at 102! I was kind of freaking out a bit, because she has never had a fever that high ever! Luckily Dave's cousin was a nurse and she said not to worry unless it got to 105 and just to keep giving her medicine and keep her cool. So I watched her and checked on her all night and her temp went down and then came back up. She was sick. I felt so bad because it was our last day with Rodee's and she was not herself! So we spent the last few hours just hanging out. It was so nice to be with everyone, even if it was only for a couple days! We just love Christian's family! We're both so blessed to come from great families! It was sad to leave but we only have a couple more months in Indy! So we packed the car up and headed out for another seven hours! I was pretty worried because Eden was so sick, but she actually did really well. She was just very tired. Christian and I love to listen to Books an CD while we're driving so we got through a couple of those on the way up and back! It was nice just being with him. All in all, it was such a fun weekend, even though Eden got sick! It's just nice to be with familY!! It made me so excited for my family reunion in July up in canada!
